Here are a couple different story boards I made for my web video. It was hard to decide on a solid idea because I didn’t know how to include them all and make them work together. My first idea was to zoom into the lines in my logo, similar to the Netflix logo when you enter the app. Once you zoomed into one of the lines it would change into a record. I decided not to continue with this idea because I could not decide how it would continue after that. Instead, I went with my second idea, which was to add in videos to my work. I went online and found copyright free videos that match my brand the best.
This video was by far the hardest to work on. Each piece of text has its own animations to get different effects. I chose to do different effects for the text because I wanted to follow that punk/grunge vibe. Among the text is also videos I edited. I added filters to the videos, so they looked more vintage and worn down to keep them the same style as my typography. I also cropped down the videos to get the best parts to feature in my video.
I am happy with how this video came out. I think it represents my brand well and keeps to my brand guidelines. I also created a website mock up. However, because of the mock up size, I had to go back and decrease the size of some of the text, so it did not bleed off the sides. This was easy to fix and did not affect the typography at all.
